I'm a public defender and anyone else who has even a glancing familiarity with the criminal justice system was very well aware of how laughable Trump's complaints have been. Thank you for writing what should have been an unnecessary and obscenely obvious essay.
While I agree that Trump and Hunter Biden have both gotten considerations rarely if ever extended to average defendants, they were both convicted of charges usually or never prosecuted in other cases.
Once again, they demonstrate the abuse of prosecutorial discretion in our system and the need for its reform.
